Wow! What Wow! What is going on?! Two posts in three days? .. I know, I'm trying very hard to make a habit of this 'blogging' to share my most favourite snaps and some of the places I love to travel. But for the most part, I'm encouraging myself to do this is for my own self improvement. I really like to write and take photos, but I don't think I'm all that good at it - So here I am trying to better myself. Here's to hopes (and doings) that I'll keep it up! is going on?! Last month, I headed to Mexico for just over a week! I know it seems kinda crazy to go that far for such a short period of time, and yes I used to think the same (and still kinda do), but in recent times I've learnt to try not to care about things like flight costs and the time spend in transit for a short trip if you really want to do something, and this was something I REALLY wanted to do!

I always tell myself I'm going to post on here more often, and I hardly ever do! I'm going to make it a goal for 2017 to post at least once a month, and I'm going to start a little early cos I have the most amazing shoot to share with you!
My friend Alice from FLORALISTA came to visit for a month recently and we went on a LOT of adventures! We met a couple of years ago via Instagram.. I know! Its a looong story (for another time) but we have become super close friends, especially considering we've probably only hung out in 'real time' a total of 6 weeks.
To finish off Alice's trip to Australia we headed to NZ (cos you know, the whole world pretty much thinks we're the same country!). We flew into Auckland on the north island and drove to Gisbourne the next day to visit Field Of Roses! Zoe, the owner and talent behind Field of Roses and I have been chatting for a long time and it was amazing to finally meet Zoe and her mum Sue and experience their absolutely beautiful farm - Ill try to do a post on it asap. They are the loveliest and I'm so happy to now call them friends and flower sistas!
Anyway, onto this shoot.. After we finished in Gisbourne we headed to the Bay of Plenty, again such a gorgeous landscape, stunning beaches and yummy tacos!
We, at very last minute, organised this styled shoot (putting together to mood board on the plane on the way to NZ) and got lucky enough to lock in some of the most talented creatives in New Zealand!
Alice and I felt like doing something a little different to what we are used to working on and lately we have been pretty obsessed with 70's vibes, so 'Heart of Gold' is the final product of this recent love of ours. We picked wild daisies from the field and made these gorgeous daisy knickers and strung freshly harvested roses around our model Christina. It turned out so dreamy! I'm in love!

INTERNATIONAL ROSE TEST GARDEN | PORTLAND OR
Seriously, what can I say? This garden has to be one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. It defiantly sits high on my list of favourite places ever and I truly think it'll stay up there for probably the rest of my life... big call I know! But if you're a rose lover you have to get there one day in the American summer time!
My gal pal and fff (flower friend forever) Alice of FLORALISTA and I visited the garden on a whim when we were heading through Portland at the beginning of this month (we were heading for San Fransisco on our 'flower road trip' but ended up flying to the great land of Mexico, but that story's for another day!). Apparently the garden bloomed a month early and we were extremely lucky to see it in all its glory at that time (according to the nice gals we bought our super cool 'rose garden' caps from in the souvenir store).
We were in love when we first walked through the gardens, it may sound lame to some, but it truly was overwhelming, so overwhelmed with the beauty and abundance we literally started to tear up! haha! That visit that night wasn't enough and we had to head back the next morning to capture these snaps on my camera.. then we drove back to Seattle and hopped on a plane bound for Mexico!
The gardens purpose is for new rose varieties to be planted and 'tested' for 4 years until they are allowed to be sold at market. Its also the largest garden of its kind in the United States. (again, according to the ladies in the shop!)

Oh and yes we wore matching outfits on purpose! .. Enjoy! xx
